Mediation & Collaborative Practice

Bridge the gap with a third party neutral.

Going to trial can be a costly, time consuming, and emotionally draining experience, one you wish to avoid if possible. We have mediated for countless families to help bridge the gap and find a resolution that is fair and equitable for both parties.

We are thoroughly trained in mediation techniques, have successfully resolved many cases outside of court, and can help you achieve a more peaceful solution.

Property Division

Review your rights when it comes to property and reimbursement.

You are worried about the house you call home, and the assets you have worked for years to accumulate. You fear it may all be lost in this difficult process. We worked with clients who share the same fears and concerns, and have helped them find resolutions that provide a sense of peace and security.

Our goal is to assess every possible property and reimbursement claim, and reach a settlement that is both fair and reasonable for both parties.

Child Custody & Visitation

Prioritize your child’s best interest.

We understand that your primary concern is the safety and wellbeing of your child. Therefore, we utilize all of our ample resources and legal knowledge to ensure your children are protected. While there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to custody and visitation matters, we have experience in a variety of both simple and complex cases.

Whether you have a full agreement, or are involved in a heavily contested case that requires expert testimony, parenting coordinators, or psychological evaluations, we will help you achieve an outcome that prioritizes your children’s interests.

Child Support

Ensure your child’s financial  needs are met.

The cost of raising a child can be substantial, but as a single parent it can be nearly impossible. We have worked with clients to ensure their divorce or separation from their spouse does not comprise their financial security. We will seek a fair and reasonable resolution between both parties through effective mediation techniques, and will go to court should we be unable to find an appropriate solution.

Whether you need to set initial child support, pay too much in support, receive too little, or simply want a professional to review your case, we will present to you every possibility to ensure your child support obligation is calculated properly.

Spousal Support

Maintain your marital standard of living.

One of the biggest questions our clients have is how they will afford to live separate from their spouse. This is why we seek temporary spousal support early to ensure you maintain your marital standard of living through this difficult time. After your divorce is finalized, we may seek a modification of spousal support should you find you had a change of financial circumstances.

Whether you are pursuing temporary support, setting permanent support, or modifying support, we will walk you through the process and towards the outcome that is best for you.

Domestic Violence Restraining Orders

Ensure the safety of all parties involved.

You and your children deserve to be safe. We know the law and can help provide protection. Due to the significant impact of a restraining order, it is unlikely that a case involving one will be settled informally. In prosecuting or defending a domestic violence restraining order, it is important to understand how the law defines abuse, and what must be proven.

We have experience in successfully representing clients through contested restraining orders and can help you reach the right resolution.

Appeals & Writs

Determine if errors were made in your case.

Pursuing or responding to an appeal or writ typically requires extensive legal research and briefing to ensure that your case is properly framed. This can be overwhelming when balancing high emotions with minimal legal training.

We have experienced success at the Court of Appeal, and will thoroughly review your case to help determine if an appeal would be appropriate, and how to best proceed.
